Uncle Charley's somewhat unique [at least he's not cantankerous] from the average folks in that he's decided to write up and write down his views of life and the stories that make him who he is. He's part westerner, part country, part city and all heart. Uncle Charley figures he's doing his part helping folks pursue their dreams by reminding them of certain lessons of life; giving some guidance in dealing with life and letting folks know all of us go through lots of stuff in life, making us who we are today.
He's amazed at the number of stories and experiences he recalls along with the lessons they've taught him. It's like a road map once in place shows you where he's been that's gotten him to this point today. He knows we all cover a lot of territory including the hills and valleys on our own road maps. [His son calls him the Rand-McNally of Life, `cause he's been all over the place.]
His quotes and stories involve humor, metaphors and knowing he doesn't have a lock on wisdom, he'll occasionally toss in a quote or two from someone else to help make his point. He knows we're here for just a spell; so we've got to make the best of it. We've got to get along with others and inspire folks, by our example, to take the steps to live their dreams so they to will allow their light to shine and let the world know they were here.
